The intelligence layer of WasteOS · grounded · governed

Ask your operation anything.

Ask in plain language. A governed answer composes itself: the figure, the chart, the lineage. Describe a dashboard and watch it build. The AI narrates; the engine computes. It never invents a number.

Dashboard building, reimagined

Describe the board. It builds itself.

No widgets to drag, no SQL, no ticket to the data team. Every tile is a live, governed query, never a frozen snapshot.

Build a dashboard
A daily operations board for the North district⏎ build

Illustrative interface with representative data. In the product, each tile is a governed query with full lineage.

How it works

Value on day one, not after a six-month consulting project.

Generic BI arrives empty. Intelligence ships already knowing your domain.

The analyst

An AI that reasons over your data, and can prove it.

Not a chatbot bolted onto a database: a governed analyst, always grounded, always cited, never guessing a figure.

Explain the change

“Why did missed collections spike?”

A movement decomposed into ranked drivers: a real contribution breakdown, not AI guesswork.

Forecast & what-if

“Where are we headed?”

A deterministic projection, plus what-ifs that re-price an explicit assumption, stated, never hidden.

Blend facts

“Compare tonnage and complaints.”

Two facts aligned on one shared dimension: correlation shown plainly, causation never claimed.

One governed source

Everything the operation needs from its data.

So the number in a dashboard, an AI answer, a statutory filing and a board pack is the same number.

Why you can cite it

The guarantees that make a number safe to put in front of a council.

These rules are built into the engine, not promised in a brochure.

Never a fabricated zeroA value that can’t be computed shows “–”: honestly “no value”, never a misleading 0.
Never a summed rateRates, medians and levels are never added up. A period rate is one honest ratio.
The AI can’t invent numbersThe model composes and narrates; the governed engine computes. An answer is grounded, or it says it isn’t.
Isolation you can testTenant separation lives in the query engine, guarded by an automated cross-tenant test that blocks releases.
Every figure has a paper trailFreshness, the resolved query and the metric behind each number are one tap away, every answer auditable.
Your language, everywhereAsk in any language and it answers in it; interface, labels, digests and exports localise too.
Questions

The things buyers ask us first.

Isn’t this just Power BI with a waste skin? +
No. Generic BI arrives empty and needs consultants before it produces a useful number. Intelligence ships with a governed, pre-translated library of waste metrics and enforces honesty in the engine: no fabricated zeros, no summed rates, no AI-invented figures. It can also benchmark you against anonymised peers across the network, which a tool that only sees your own data can’t.
Can we trust numbers that come from an AI? +
Yes, because the AI doesn’t produce the numbers. It composes and narrates; a governed metric engine computes every figure. Each answer shows whether it rests on certified metrics, carries its lineage, and can be re-verified in one click. If a question can’t be grounded, it says so.
What about data privacy and GDPR? +
Tenant isolation lives inside the query engine, not in configuration, and is guarded by an automated cross-tenant test that blocks releases. Financial and personal data is role-gated, every consequential action is audit-logged, peer benchmarks are anonymised with a minimum cohort size, and a steward can retract anything shared.
Do we need a data team to run it? +
No. Any authorised user builds dashboards by prompt or visual designer and asks questions in plain language: no SQL, no developers needed to create or maintain content.
Which languages does it support? +
Any language. Ask in your own language and the AI answers in it. Interface, metric labels, digests and exports are fully localisable. Several ship out of the box, and we add any language you need, per user.
