The problem

The day goes off-plan quietly. The phone rings loudly.

Plans meet reality the moment the wheels turn. Live operations is where you see the gap and close it before it costs a collection.

See the whole day at once

Every route, vehicle, and stop on one map, updating live. No radio round-robin to find out who is where.

Act while it still matters

Re-route, re-assign, or add a stop in a couple of clicks, and the change reaches the driver’s cab immediately.

Prove what happened

Every shift is recorded and replayable, so a dispute is settled with the timeline, not with two people’s memories.

Rewind any day, stop by stop

Scrub back through any shift to see exactly what each vehicle did and when. A disputed missed collection is answered with the timeline, not a guess.

A live view that lets you intervene, not just watch

Four capabilities that turn a wall of GPS dots into decisions you can act on.

01
Live map

The whole operation on one screen

Vehicles, routes, and stops render live on one map. Colour tells you what’s on time, what’s slipping, and what’s done, so your eye lands on the problem first.

Live dispatch

Move work without moving paper

Add an urgent collection, pull a stop off a broken-down truck, or re-balance a route mid-shift. The driver sees the update in the cab within seconds, in order.

Exceptions and alerts

The screen tells you before the customer does

Missed stops, blocked access, delays, and off-route vehicles raise an alert the moment they happen, with enough context to decide, so you’re calling the customer first.

How an exception gets handled

From signal to settled in one loop

The same four beats every time something goes off-plan, so nothing sits waiting for someone to notice.

1

Detect

A missed stop, a delay, or an off-route vehicle raises an alert the moment it happens, with the context you need to judge it.

2

Decide

See the affected stops, the nearest available vehicle, and the knock-on cost, then choose the fix from one screen.

3

Dispatch

Push the change to the cab. The driver’s route updates in order, and the customer notice goes out if you want it to.

4

Confirm

The stop is re-read once it’s done, so the board shows a verified result rather than a hopeful one, and the day’s record is complete.

One day, every role

The same live picture, framed for the job

The control room, the supervisor, and the driver all work from one live operation, each seeing what they need to act.

Dispatcher

The dispatcher runs the room

The full map, every exception, and the tools to re-route and re-assign in real time, without picking up the radio.

  • See every vehicle and route on one live map
  • Re-dispatch a stop in a couple of clicks
  • Notify the affected customer in the same action
Supervisor

The supervisor sees the trend

Progress against plan across the whole day, so a shift that’s slipping shows up early enough to do something about it.

  • Track completion against plan by area and route
  • Spot recurring trouble spots before they repeat
  • Hand over a shift with the full picture intact
Driver

The driver sees today

Just this shift’s route, in order, with live updates when the room changes the plan and turn-by-turn to the next stop.

  • Turn-by-turn to every stop in order
  • New work appears in the cab, no phone call
  • Mark an exception in a couple of taps
By design

Questions we get

The practical stuff

What operations teams ask before they put the day on a live map.

Where does the live location come from? +
From the WasteOS in-cab app and, where fitted, your vehicle telematics. Both feed the same live map, so you don’t need to watch two systems.
What happens when a vehicle loses signal? +
The cab app keeps working offline and queues its updates. The moment signal returns, the map catches up, and gaps are shown as gaps rather than guessed.
How fast does a driver see a change? +
Within seconds. A re-dispatched stop or a new job lands in the driver’s route in order, so there’s no phone call and no ambiguity about what comes next.
Does this replace our routing? +
No. Live operations runs on top of the routes you already plan in WasteOS. It’s the real-time layer that shows how the plan is going and lets you adjust it, not a second planner.

Bring your busiest collection day.

We’ll put a real route on the live map and show you how an exception gets caught and fixed before it becomes a complaint.
